Refund policy

The Danish law Købeloven (Danish Consumer Contracts Act) applies to purchases on this website.

When you make a purchase as a consumer, you have the right to submit a complaint within 24 months.

If your complaint is justified, it means that you can either get the item repaired or changed, get your money back or a price reduction, depending on the specific situation.

You need to submit your complaint to us within "reasonable time" after you discover the fault. If you submit your complaint within two months after the fault has been discovered, the complaint will always be timely.

If your complaint is justified, we will refund your (reasonable) shipping costs for the return. The faulty item must always be returned to us in proper packaging. Remember to save a receipt for shipment so that we can refund your shipping costs.

When submitting a complaint and returning a faulty item, we recommend that you make use of our portal for returns or send an email to help@birdie.design.

If you are in doubt about a complaint, please send a description and one or more pictures of the product to help@birdie.design.

We will not accept packages sent by COD.

Privacy policy

1. Returning an item

1.1.  Make sure to pack the item securely and properly. Make sure to put the product back into the package like when you received it. Please note that we reserve the right to deduct a small amount from your return corresponding to the condition of the product if the above is not observed.

2. Exchanging an item

2.1. We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return the product and order the desired size separately in a new order.

3. Right of cancellation

You have a 100-day full right of cancellation on items purchased in our webshop.

The cancellation period (cooling off period) expires 100 days after the day you received your item. If you have purchased multiple items in one order, but they are delivered separately, the cancellation period will expire 100 days after the day you received the last item. The deadline means that you have 14 days from delivery to let us know that you wish to cancel your purchase.

The notification shall be sent by email to hello@birdie.design. You must make it clear that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation.

4. Cancellation of part of the purchase

If you have purchased several items from us, you have the option to return one or more items even though they were purchased in one order.

5. The condition of the item

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the items.

If the item is tested beyond what is described above, we consider the item as used, which means that - in the case of cancellation - only part of or none of the purchase amount will be reimbursed depending on the commercial value of the item.

We recommend that you send the product back in its original shipping package. If your product(s) were delivered in a special packaging, and this is missing, it may result in a decrease in commercial value.

6. Reimbursement

If you cancel your order, you will get your money back. If the item value is reduced by use, wrong handling, etc., we will deduct the amount for which you are liable. We will refund all payments received from you, excluding potential shipping costs.

We will return the money through the same payment method that you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise.

We can withhold the refund until we have received the return unless you have submitted documentation before returning it. You can also cancel the purchase by notifying us and deliver it in person at the above address.

1. Payment

Birdie accepts payment with VISA-Dankort, all VISA payment cards, all MasterCard debit cards, PayPal and iDEAL & Bancontact (Mollie). The payment will be processed once your product is shipped.

All amounts are in euro, including VAT.

Birdie uses an authorised payment server that encrypts your card information by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that your payment information is safe with us.

2. Shipping and delivery

Birdie's products are packed and shipped the same day (if the order is received before 4pm CET, except weekends and public holidays and stock is availability). Packages are, under normal circumstances, delivered within 1-2 weekdays (unless anything else is stated on the website). Look below for country specific delivery time:

(Packages are shipped with UPS, DHL, FedEX or other local shipping companies in your country of residence.)

4.3. Upon receival of your order, we will process the return within 5 working days. When the order has been refunded, 1-3 banking days can pass before the return is visible in your account.
